Site Supervisor
SALARY: On Application
Objectives To carry out site installation of structural steelwork, architectural metalwork as associated with the company’s trade to meet client’s installation requirements in terms of time, cost and quality.
Key Tasks
Offloading and temporary storage on site of steelwork, fixings and consumables.
Erection and fixing of steelwork in line with supervisors instruction, site drawings and specification.
Work safely and have regard for the safety of others on site.
Report any accidents or ‘near misses’ to the Site Manager.
Wear appropriate ‘Personal Protective Equipment’ at all times, and report any damage or losses of safety equipment to Site Manager.
Complete daily paperwork using the Strumis software including timesheets, site instructions etc.
Read and understand fabrication drawings of a complex nature and execute associated works in line with qualified Welding Process Specifications or Work Instructions
Work unsupervised and use all necessary plant and equipment including hand tools, burning gear etc to complete the job
Welding Co-ordination and inspection of own work and that completed by others, in line with the Welding Quality Management System
Ability to sign off jobs at various stages or at the end of the project in line with the Site Manager
Supervise Subcontractors or HBE staff (when on site).
Ensure site management and HBE staff are kept informed daily on progress or any upcoming or relevant issues
In line with the Site Manager, Buyer and Estimator, order bolts, steel plates and extras and ensure the Hilti system is updated
Any other duties considered necessary to fulfil the role
Core Skills
CSCS Card
Safety at heights/harness certificate
Competent in Manual Handling NVQ Level 2 Plant Operations (Plant Operator) slinger/signaller or Forklift licence
IPAF MEWP PAL+ Operators licence
Competent in the use and changing of Abrasive Wheels
Alloy towers certificate (PASMA)
Clean driving licence
Communication with team and management
